Woodland Fauna-Rattle
It is said that the Abenaki used light backgrounds with dark designs while the rest of the Wabanaki and surrounding tribes used dark backgrounds and light designs. Both give strong images. here a woodland flower adapted from a Pennobscot design is accented with wavy lines which could represent either the gentle flow of water or the path we wander on through life.
